Healthy Solutions for the Low Carbon Economy
As the climate crisis unfolds, food, fuel and finances have suddenly reached critical proportions, threatening health and stability in many nations. The clean energy transformation can lower food and fuel costs, and provide an economic stimulus for the global economy. But will the suite of solutions we chose be safe and sustainable ones?
The report Healthy Solutions for the Low Carbon Economy: Guidelines for Investors, Insurers and Policy Makers, featured in this Congressional Briefing, explores the life-cycle costs of proposed technologies and practices to separate measures for early, widespread adoption from those warranting further study to avoid unintended consequences. Addressing financial and policy instruments, this report is intended to help policy makers and industry and finance leaders make well-informed decisions for our energy future. Complimentary copies of this report will be available at the briefing.
Should you have any questions about this briefing, please contact Sara Singleton in Sen. Kennedy's office at 202-224-7675 or Sara_Singleton@help.senate.gov.
