High School Education

Human Health and Global Environmental Change

This course highlights the human health connection to environmental change issues such as global warming, biodiversity, and pollution.

Working with high school teachers, the Center for Health and the Global Environment has adapted its course taught at Harvard Medical School to provide the opportunity to incorporate emerging environmental concepts within the context of cutting edge research and authentic scientific inquiry. The course may be used to teach a full semester long class, or teachers may use the resources individually. These include lectures available online through realplayer, powerpoint presentations, guiding questions, vocabulary words, activities, related readings and resources.
